Rookie Rockstars of Kirkintilloch receive £46,500 from The National Lottery Community Fund

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Rookie Rockstars of Kirkintilloch on being awarded £46,500 from the Medium Grants Scotland: Improving Lives programme of The National Lottery Community Fund; notes that the organisation was created to help give children the opportunity to work with professional musicians to learn original songs; further notes that this funding will be used to hire a part-time councillor to continue their Rookie Minds service for young people experiencing mental health issues, and wishes the group all the best for the future as they continue what it sees as their unique contribution to young people's education.
