Aberdeenshire Athletes Run World Record 106 Marathons in 106 Days for Charity

The motion

That the Parliament commends Fay Cunningham and Emma Petrie of Aboyne, Aberdeenshire, on running a world record 106 marathons in 106 days; understands that they originally set out to run 100 marathons in 100 days, but increased their target after two attempts were made on the record of consecutive marathons completed; further understands that they have raised £31,976.21 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association and Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of their parents, who it understands passed away from cancer and motor neurone disease; understands that their fundraising page will remain open until 30 June 2022, and believes that they should be incredibly proud of all that they have achieved over the last few months.
