Congratulating Norman Rushbrook BEM

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Mr Norman Rushbrook of Kirkwall, Orkney, on receiving the British Empire Medal from Her Majesty the Queen in the Platinum Jubilee Honours for services to the arts and to squash in Orkney; understands that his voluntary work has seen him play a key role promoting theatre in Orkney, while also supporting participation in rugby and squash in the local community; notes his tenure as chairman of Orkney Arts Theatre and that he is a founding member of Kirkwall Squash Club; commends Mr Rushbrook for all of his efforts, and sends very best wishes to him.
