Reverend James Falconer Appointed Member of the British Empire

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Reverend James Falconer of Westhill, Aberdeenshire, on being appointed a Member of the British Empire in The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee honours list for his services to parents and children coping with bereavement across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray; understands that he was a chaplain at the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital and set up a bereaved families support group for parents, the Grampian Child Bereavement Network, and a brain injury group; further understands that, despite retiring three years ago, he continues to work in the Robertson Family Roof Garden and the Forester Hill Health Campus Staff Garden, both of which he played a key part in creating; believes this recognition to be thoroughly deserved, and wishes him well in his active retirement.
