Eilish McColgan’s Record Breaking Run

The motion

That the Parliament applauds Eilish McColgan’s record breaking run at the FBK Continental Tour meet in Hengelo in Holland; understands that Eilish’s own mother, Liz, has held the 10,000m record of 30:57.07 since 1991; further understands that Eilish is now second on the UK all-time list and fifth on the European all-time list; commends her commitment to taking a strategic approach to the development of her training regime as well as her dedication to inspiring women and girls alike to participate in athletics regardless of their age; congratulates Eilish on her time of 30.19.02, and wishes her all the best during this track season and beyond.
