Glasgow Minister Retires After 24 Years of Service as a Prison Chaplain

The motion

That the Parliament commends the Reverend Ian McInnes as he retires following 24 years of service as a prison chaplain at HMP Barlinnie in Glasgow's east end; understands that the Reverend Ian McInnes, who is Minister of Dennistoun New Parish Church, joined the Prison Chaplaincy Team at HMP Barlinnie on a part-time basis in 1998; recognises that over the years the Reverend Ian McInnes has offered valuable support and guidance to inmates and staff; congratulates the Reverend Ian McInnes for being presented with a Governor’s Award in Recognition of Outstanding Service by the Governor of HMP Barlinnie, and wishes him well for the future.
