David Stewart Appointed a Member of the British Empire

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates David Stewart of Banchory, Aberdeenshire, on being appointed a Member of the British Empire for services to British industry; understands that he retired in 2021 following a career spanning more than 40 years in which, as chief operating officer for Wood PLC, he established it as an industry leader; further understands that he has been a community champion and led the fundraising campaign that raised £250,000 to open Maggie's cancer caring centre in Aberdeen; understands that he also led a campaign that raised £50,000 for UCAN; commends David for his lifetime of service to British industry and the community, and believes this recognition to be thoroughly deserved.
