Baljaffray Primary School Raises £10,000 for the Ukraine DEC Appeal

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the staff, pupils and sponsors of the Baljaffray Primary School DEC Ukraine appeal, whereby the children set out to walk the equivalent distance of that between Bearsden and Kiev; notes that £10,000 was raised in total by this appeal; understands that the P1 to P7 pupils walked 2,000 miles as laps around a football pitch over 14 days; commends the support of the school’s staff, which made the walk possible, and wishes the school the best of success in future fundraising appeals for deserving causes.
