Ayr Mums Launch New Business as a Result of the Pandemic

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Ayr’s Kathryn McNally and Katie Walker on the launch of their new business, UnderSky; understands that the pair were made redundant during the COVID-19 pandemic; further understands that they are both mums and used the restrictions in place at the time to form their new venture; believes that, at the time, indoor socialising was restricted and spending time outdoors was advised; understands that the pair created UnderSky to encourage children and families to embrace the outdoors, using their story-led active outdoor play kits; considers the products as environmentally and ethically friendly; commends Kathryn and Katie on receiving funding, which has allowed them to provide free community play days, and wishes them all the very best with their new business venture going forward.
