2022 Green Apple Environment Excellence Awards

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the success of Kingdom Housing Association at the 2022 Green Apple Environment Excellence Awards; notes that the awards began in 1994 and have become established as the country’s main recognition for environmental endeavour among companies, councils and communities; understands that Kingdom achieved Gold in the listed building and heritage project and refurbishment categories, and Silver in the residential category for its sympathetic conversion of the iconic category B-listed building, Hunter House, in Kirkcaldy; believes that the conversion of the 1785 house, originally known as St Brycedale House, to an affordable housing complex retained many of the original features, including the entrance hall and staircase; commends Kingdom on the success of this project, and wishes everyone involved the very best.
