Coylton Beauty Boss Receives MBE
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Coylton’s Lesley Blair on being appointed an MBE in The Queen’s Birthday Honours list to mark the Platinum Jubilee; understands that Lesley is 52 years old and has been a leader in the beauty industry for over 35 years; notes that Lesley is the CEO and chair of the British Association of Beauty Therapy, the major industry trade body, and of the Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology; acknowledges that during the COVID-19 pandemic Lesley launched two campaigns, Bring Beauty Back and Make Beauty Safe, to allow close contact services to continue safely; commends Lesley in raising over £600,000 to support small business who were struggling; recognises what it sees as Lesley’s passion and hard work for the industry; believes that she is responsible for the return of the industry post pandemic and for its survival throughout, and wishes her well in her future endeavours.
