Jim Halkett Retires After 42 Years Serving Kelty
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the work of Jim Halkett, of James Halkett Family Butchers, Blackhall Square, Kelty; understands that Jim has dedicated 42 years to serving the communities of Kelty; further understands that Jim has taken the decision to retire on 2 July 2022, which will also see the closure of James Halkett Family Butchers; notes that Jim is a well-loved member of the community; recognises Jim's work during the COVID-19 pandemic as he helped to ensure that no one was left behind; notes that, as a traditional butcher, his recipes are well loved by all; appreciates this will be a sad loss for the people of Kelty, and wishes Jim the very best in retirement.
