Thurso 999 Services Versus Rangers Legends in Thurso Charity Match

The motion

That the Parliament commends Thurso 999 Services for taking on Rangers Legends at a charity football match in Thurso; recognises that the event, which saw an estimated 500 to 600 people attend, raised over £25,000, and that Rangers Legends won the match 2-1 before attending a sell-out sportsman’s dinner in the evening; further recognises the community charities and groups which helped out through sponsoring the event or providing assistance on the day; notes that planning for the event started two years ago, but was delayed by COVID-19 until 2022, and congratulates all who took part in raising the money for local charities.
