New Charity Cafe for Tillicoultry Parish Church Hall
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the opening in June 2022 of a charity café in Tillicoultry, which aims to bring the community together; believes that the Snowdrop Café, based in Tillicoultry Parish Church Hall, held its first session on 6 June 2022, welcoming everyone from the area; understands that the café, run by local lady Elaine Scott, is a free service supported by donations from the local community and backing from Strathcarron Hospice; commends Morrisons in Alloa, which, it understands, made a very generous donation to ensure stocks are high; believes that as well as opening every Monday from 1.00 to 3.00 pm, with disabled access and toilets available in the church hall, Elaine and her team of 10 volunteers are encouraging anyone who does not have access to transport to get in contact with them, and further commends Elaine, and all involved, on this excellent initiative to improve community spirit and its resultant wellbeing for everyone in the community who comes along.
