Congratulations to Captain Dr Paul Little, Chair of the UK’s first Shipbuilding Skills Taskforce

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Captain Dr Paul Little, principal of City of Glasgow College, on being appointed the chair of the UK’s first Shipbuilding Skills Taskforce; believes that this appointment is reflective of Dr Little’s standing in the UK maritime and education sectors as well as his excellent reputation internationally; reflects on the priority that it believes that shipbuilding represents to Scotland’s economic recovery and successful future; considers that there is a gap in skills in shipbuilding across generations; believes that addressing this skills gap is vital to the future of shipbuilding and maritime in Scotland and the UK, and wishes Captain Dr Paul Little success in his new role as chair of the UK Shipbuilding Skills Taskforce.
