Inverkeithing Highland Games' 50th Year of Celebrations
The motion
That the Parliament notes the success of the Inverkeithing Highland Games, which were held on 6 August 2022 at Ballast Park; understands that this is the first games since the COVID-19 pandemic; further understands that the restarted games celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 2022, although the event was also held prior to the Second World War; believes that the event has been sorely missed during the pandemic; understands that there was lots to see and do, with various stalls and performances; further understands that the organising committee expected around 4,000 people to be in attendance; thanks all volunteers for their hard work and effort that has gone into organising the games over the last year; believes that events like this would not be possible without volunteers, who are a credit to their community, and thanks them for this.
