Bearsden Author Derek Niven at the Heart of the Community

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Derek Niven of Bearsden for publishing his fifth book, Pride of the Hearts, which reveals the stories and family histories of 16 footballing heroes who enlisted in McCrae’s Battalion, the 16th Royal Scots, during the First World War; acknowledges the tremendous research it considers he carried out as a genealogist for the work, and wishes him all the best on future projects.
