Student-run Kirkcaldy Restaurant Shortlisted for Top Scottish Award

The motion

That the Parliament commends The Academy, at the Fife College St Brycedale Campus, in Kirkcaldy, for making the judges’ shortlist at the 2022 Learning Places Scotland Awards; understands that The Academy is the college’s purpose-built training restaurant and has been named a finalist in two categories; further understands that the restaurant provides facilities for hospitality and culinary arts students, giving them training to industry standards and access to a real-life working environment; acknowledges that the restaurant was recently refurbished with the help of HND 3D design students and that the space is now a modern and inviting cafe during the day, and a lively, upmarket restaurant at night, and wishes the restaurant and everyone associated with it all the best for the future.
