The motion
That the Parliament recognises 9 September 2022 as Emergency Services (or 999) Day across the UK; welcomes it as an opportunity to show appreciation to everyone who works in the emergency services; acknowledges what it sees as the often selfless duty involved in working on the frontline; commends all those who work in the police, fire and rescue, ambulance, NHS, coastguard and lifeboats, and search and rescue services, and thanks the organisers for providing an opportunity to remember and commend all of those who work in the emergency services.
