Tasting History Ayrshire Tours, Finalist in Scottish Thistle Awards

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the news that Tasting History Ayrshire Tours has been shortlisted as a regional finalist in the Working Together for Tourism category in the 2022-23 Scottish Thistle Awards; understands that the awards seek to recognise and honour the very best individuals, businesses, partnerships and events in the tourism industry for their innovation, excellence and success, in particular those who have collaborated together, to go above and beyond, to put Scotland on the map as a world class tourism destination in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic; notes that Tasting History Ayrshire Tours provides fun and informative tours, animating Ayrshire’s fascinating history with characters and a taste of local food and drink, including the Newmilns-based Millers & Merchants Tour, in collaboration with Lamlash House, and the East Ayrshire History Mystery Tour, both of which feature locally-grown produce; commends Tasting History Ayrshire Tours for their efforts to deliver an excellent experience for visitors to East Ayrshire, and wishes them all the best at the Thistle Awards West Regional Final in November 2022.
