Eilish McColgan's Sixth Record-breaking Run

The motion

That the Parliament commends Eilish McColgan on her sixth record-breaking run of the season; understands that this is the third record she has set for the 10,000m this season with a time of 30:18; notes that the British and European record was set at the Great Scottish Run in Glasgow, which encourages runners of all ages and abilities to take part; further notes that over 20,000 people participated in the event, including 1,200 young runners who took part in the Junior and Mini Great Scottish Run and Toddler Dash; congratulates Eilish on her spectacular season, which has helped inspire a new generation of young people into sport, and wishes her all the best during her off-season training in preparation for next year.
