Ann Ross Nominated for 5th Annual Councillor Awards

The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Councillor Ann Ross of Aberdeenshire Council on being shortlisted for the Community Champion award for the 2022 Annual Councillor Awards; notes that Cllr Ross was first elected in May 2017 to represent Ward 16, Banchory and Mid Deeside; understands that the Councillor Awards are organised by Local Government Information Unit to recognise the fantastic hard work of councillors dedicated to their communities and making significant impacts on the people that they represent; further understands that they received over 100 nominations submitted across multiple categories and congratulates the other nominees; notes that the awards take place on 12 October in Dundee, and expresses gratitude for the help and resilience of Ann Ross and all Scottish councillors.
