The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Sir Walter Scott Steamship Trust at Loch Katrine on the award of a grant of £130,000 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund for their Save Our Steamship project; understands that this grant is to carry out essential repairs to the Sir Walter Scott steamer, and create new and accessible interpretation onboard, and that this money equates to 23% of the total cost of the project; considers that the National Lottery Heritage Fund invests money raised by National Lottery players to a wide array of diverse heritage projects in Scotland from museums, parks and historic places to archaeology, natural environment and cultural traditions, and understands that the Save Our Steamship appeal was launched in 2021 with the aim of restoring the much loved 122-year-old steamer the Sir Walter Scott to allow the ship to carry out trips on the waters of Loch Katrine, in the heart of the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.
