Baby Loss Awareness Week

The motion

That the Parliament recognises Baby Loss Awareness Week, which runs from 9 to 15 October 2022, and commends the work of the Baby Loss Retreat that provides year-round support to families across Scotland who have lost their babies; understands that the Baby Loss Retreat is holding its Wave of Light service on 15 October in St Augustine’s Church, Coatbridge; notes that the Baby Loss Retreat encourages people to say the names of their lost babies and rejects baby loss being a taboo subject, and commends the work of the charity.
