Women's Rugby World Cup

The motion

That the Parliament notes the start of the women's Rugby World Cup, which will run from 8 October to 12 November 2022, in New Zealand; understands that the Scotland team is one of twelve teams to successfully qualify for the tournament; recognises the successful growth in the women's game in recent years and its positive effect on the sport more generally, and wishes Scotland, the other home nations and all the teams competing the very best wishes for the event.
