Formation of Huntly FC Women

The motion

That the Parliament commends the formation of the first ever Huntly Women's football team, which will take part in the 2023 Scottish Women’s Football League North/East; notes that Huntly Football Club also plans to work with local clubs to develop a full youth pathway through to the women's first team; understands that Huntly FC Women will play all their home matches at Christie Park; believes that this will provide the team with equality with the men's team; considers that the team will provide important role models to girls in Huntly; congratulates all those involved in the formation of this team, and wishes the team every success next year and beyond.
