Scottish Agritourism Conference

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the Scottish Agritourism Conference to Perth Concert Hall on 6-7 December 2022, which, it understands, will be the largest gathering of the agritourism sector in Scotland; understands that the conference is open to anyone with an interest in the agritourism sector in Scotland, whether already operating, considering it, or offering business support to the sector; further understands that the conference will address "Sustainability of the Family Farm and Croft", "Creating an agritourism destination" and "Putting Meat on to Agritourism Menus"; believes that Scotland has an ambitious national agritourism strategy, setting a target that 50% of farms in agritourism will offer guests a food and drink experience that incorporates the farm’s own produce by 2030; further believes that the conference will provide a great opportunity for the sector to come together, to meet new people and to learn from the range of inspiring speakers, and wishes the participants a successful conference.
