Marking the 553rd Siri Guru Nanak Gurpurab
The motion
That the Parliament recognises that 8 November 2022 marks the 553rd Gurpurab (Birth Anniversary) of Siri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, who was the founder of Sikhi and the first Sikh Guru; understands that this auspicious moment commemorates one of the most significant occasions for followers of the Sikh faith, and wishes everyone in Scotland and around the world celebrating Gurpurab, a happy and prosperous celebration.
