Congratulating The Royal Bengal of Dunfermline, Fife, on Reaching the Long List of the UK Asian Curry Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates The Royal Bengal Indian restaurant and takeaway based in Dunfermline in Fife on being included on the long list for the UK Asian Curry Awards; understands that the Pittencrieff Street-restaurant is one of around a dozen Scottish businesses to make the long list stage of the competition; notes that the Asian Curry Awards cover all Asian and Oriental cuisines, covering some 30,000 restaurants and takeaways across the UK; believes that the competition will be decided by public vote and that such an accolade can have a significant boost to an establishment’s trade; considers that being shortlisted for accolades such as this can help businesses to compete in the current difficult economic conditions, and extends its very best wishes to The Royal Bengal for continued success in the competition and for the future.
