Thanking Emergency Services Following Bonfire Night

The motion

That the Parliament thanks the emergency services in Lothian for their hard work over the weekend of the 5 November 2022; understands that bonfire night represents one of their busiest of the year due to a reported increase in antisocial behaviour; condemns the reported targeting of emergency services by those engaging in antisocial behaviour; considers that action must be taken to ensure that emergency services can perform their duties safely and without being harassed; believes that the Scottish Government must do all that it can to limit the number of cases where fireworks are used in antisocial and dangerous ways; calls on anyone who is celebrating using fireworks to do so in a safe and responsible manner, and reiterates its thanks to all those working to keep communities safe.
