New Remembrance Day Garden Unveiled in Glasgow

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates First Bus Glasgow on the opening of its new Remembrance Day garden at Caledonia Depot in the Southside; understands that the garden features four memorials, including a freestanding monument dedicated to workers from the city’s Whitevale tram depot, surrounded by three plaques in memory of workers from Newlands, Dennistoun and Langside; notes that the bus network is proud to continue to honour those who paid the ultimate price during the First World War, and acknowledges that the memorial garden gives staff, their families and members of the public the opportunity to pay their own respects for generations to come.
