Vale of Leven Hospital Nurses Win Prestigious National Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the nurses at Vale of Leven Hospital for winning the Wounds UK Excellence Award for the Innovative Approach to recording patient care; notes that the awards ceremony was held in Harrogate, Yorkshire; further notes that lead nurse, Heather Hodgson, piloted the ABCD Project, which, it understands, cut the time nurses spent on patient recording notes from 45 minutes down to 10 minutes, enabling nurses to spend more time with patients and reducing the incidences of pressure ulcers due to poor documentation, and wishes the team every success with the project on a long-term basis.
