PS Maid of the Loch Volunteers Win National Historic Ships UK Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the volunteers at PS Maid of the Loch on winning the National Historic Ships UK and the Marsh Charitable Trust Award with a prize of £500; understands that the volunteers are at the heart of the vessel’s restoration and provide visitor services to the public and plan and manage the entire process; further understands that the restoration process took a leap forward in 2020 when the charity secured a substantial grant; applauds the efforts of 50 volunteers who have contributed thousands of hours towards the continuing restoration, and commends the Loch Lomond Steamship Company charity for all its hard work and dedication towards the relaunch of a fully operational paddle steamer in the near future.
