Danielle Fairley Scotland's Care Worker of the Year 2022

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Danielle Fairley, of Cowdenbeath, Fife, on being named as Scotland's Care Worker of the Year for 2022; understands that Danielle was praised for her can-do attitude and for her reassuring and flexible approach when assessing the needs of residents and developing care plans; commends Danielle for her sensitivity and resilience, particularly when faced with challenging situations, and her willingness to take on additional responsibilities during the COVID-19 pandemic; considers that this prestigious award recognises the significant role that carers like Danielle have in providing a consistently high quality standard of care for people living in care homes; understands that the shortlist was an extremely strong group, echoing the hard work that care workers do each and every day, and wishes Danielle all the very best for the future.
