Assynt Teenager Struan Macdonald Wins Young Crofter Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Struan Macdonald from Assynt for winning the Scottish Crofting Federation’s (SCF) prestigious Young Crofter Award; notes that Struan, who crofts sheep, pigs and goats in Achmelvich, was chosen by the SCF, the MacRobert Trust, and the Crofting Commission, and received the award from Jon Strickland, chair of the MacRobert Trust at an SCF gathering; understands that Struan became involved in crofting by helping out other crofters in his local area, and wishes him every success in the future.
