Congratulating Emily Luck
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Emily Luck on being selected to represent Great Britain in America playing ice hockey at the International University Sports Federation (FISU) Championships; notes that Emily is a student at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) studying sports and exercise science and became interested in the sport after watching Glasgow Clan play at Braehead, she then joined Solway Sharks Ladies before moving on to her current team, the Caledonian Steel Queens; understands that Emily was asked to attend a monthly GB training session and was then selected to compete in the FISU championships; further understands that Emily is part of the sports scholarship programme at UWS and is thankful to everyone there for helping her to achieve her dream; congratulates her once again on this fantastic achievement, and wishes her the best of luck in competing at the FISU championships.
