The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Glasgow pupils who took part in a special football game to mark 150 years since Scotland's first international match; understands that children from Hyndland Primary School took to a specially laid pitch in the West of Scotland Cricket Ground to mark the occasion; believes that on St Andrew’s Day, 30 November 1872, teams representing Scotland and England took to the same field to play out a 0-0 draw; further believes that it was a significant moment in the development of international football, and understands that Scotland Men's Team's Craig Gordon joined the children at the event, which was enjoyed by all who participated and watched.
