HMNB Clyde Re-opens Refurbished Rehabilitation Centre

The motion

That the Parliament applauds HMNB Clyde for the re-opening of the rehabilitation centre at Faslane; notes that the primary care centre cares for over 500 injured service personnel per year and now has five private consultation rooms, a gym and a staff of five physiotherapists and three exercise remedial instructors at the facility; understands that patients are offered assessments on an individual basis, tailored to their needs, and is open to staff from across the base at what is Scotland’s largest military establishment; appreciates the dedication and insight of Surgeon Commander Mike Russell, principle medical officer at HMNB Clyde, Colonel Sharon Findlay, regional clinical director for defence primary healthcare Scotland, and Captain Nick Gibbons, Captain of HMS Neptune, and wishes the centre staff and patients the very best of success in their ongoing treatment and support.
