The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Ayr Rugby Football Club on becoming a registered charity; notes that this was a historic step for its members as they finalised the transfer of the club and its assets to a new limited company, Ayr Rugby Football Club Limited; understands that this change aims to benefit the future operations of the club and open local funding opportunities; further understands that this is a momentous moment for the club and the biggest since it purchased Millbrae Market Gardens in 1962; acknowledges that, having secured charitable status, this will also help the club secure land, meet the conditions of The Macdonald Legacy and apply for additional funding from other organisations; understands that the club has plans to present members a proposed redevelopment of Millbrae in 2023, and considers that this is the beginning of a new chapter for the club and all involved.
