Lynn Cleal Receives OBE

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Lynn Cleal, of Cove in Argyll and Bute, on being appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in The King’s New Year’s Honours list for voluntary service to the community in Scotland; acknowledges that Lynn and her husband, Andrew Smith, helped facilitate the installation of more then 350 defibrillators across Edinburgh through St John Scotland’s Public Access Defibrillator Scheme; notes that, following its success in Edinburgh, Lynn’s scheme is now being rolled out nationally by St John Scotland; thanks Lynn for her voluntary work with St John Scotland over the last 11 years, and wishes her and Andrew all the best for the future.
