Tom Finnigan Receives MBE

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Thomas Finnigan, of Balloch, on being appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire in The King’s New Year’s Honours list for services to the administration of justice and the community of Dunbartonshire; acknowledges that Thomas has been serving on the Justice of the Peace at Dumbarton Sheriff Court for more than 23 years, is a former chair of the Scottish Justices’ Association, and is a member of the Judicial Council; notes that Thomas is the current convenor of the Justices’ Training and Appraisal Committee for the Sheriffdom of North Strathclyde, and runs a consultancy and training business in the food industry, and thanks Tom for what it sees as his important and long-lasting contribution to the Dumbarton and Vale of Leven community.
