Sir Andy Murray Awarded 2022 Arthur Ashe Humanitarian Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Sir Andy Murray on being awarded the 2022 Arthur Ashe Humanitarian Award in recognition of his support for humanitarian efforts in Ukraine; understands that Sir Andy was given the award following his donation of over £510,000, all of his 2022 prize money, to UNICEF UK to support the reported 5.2 million children in Ukraine who are currently needing help; notes that Sir Andy has been a UNICEF Ambassador since 2014, and further notes that the Arthur Ashe Humanitarian Award is awarded by the Association of Tennis Professionals to acknowledge an outstanding humanitarian contribution.
