Milngavie Resident Nicola Dawson Receives RailStaff Award for Charity

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Nicola Dawson of Milngavie on receiving the RailStaff Award for Charity; notes that she dedicates her time to countless good causes, going above and beyond to help improve the lives of others; understands that she set up a running group at ScotRail called Nic's Noon Runners, which ran and cycled the length of the Scotland route rail network, twice, with only eight people in the team, reaching the target in 11 weeks and raising £1,860.25, which was split between MND and NHS charities; appreciates her dedication to taking part in the 96-mile West Highland Way race, which she completed in 27 hours, raising nearly £1,500 for Scottish Mountain Rescue; understands that she has raised over £6,000 in total while keeping people fit and healthy; wishes her every success for the future, and supports her efforts to raise funds for charitable causes.
