Joyce Murray Receives BEM

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Joyce Murray, of Bishopbriggs, on being awarded a British Empire Medal in The King’s New Year Honours list 2023 for services to the Boys’ Brigade and to the community in Glasgow; acknowledges that Joyce has accumulated 54 years of service to the Boys’ Brigade and has worked as a crossing patroller for over 20 years; notes that Joyce also undertakes voluntary supervisor work for a local school; wishes Joyce all the best for the future as she celebrates her 80th birthday in the coming year, and thanks Joyce for her dedicated service to her local community.
