Money Raised for Stirling and Bridge of Allan Round Table's 2023 Small Grants Fund
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes reports that a local charity, which has long helped to support groups and organisations that in turn help their community, has invited applications to a substantial fund after a highly successful year of fundraising during 2022; understands that the Stirling and Bridge of Allan Round Table is seeking beneficiaries from its Small Grants Fund, with the amount available totalling £25,000; acknowledges that this fund has been amassed as a result of money raised by the Round Table via a series of significant local events over the last 12 months; considers that, in 2022, the Round Table helped to support a number of organisations, such as a residential centre, PTA groups, Bridge of Allan Scout Group, and sports and arts projects, in addition to funding a sporting scholarship, with grants from £50 to £2,000; commends the Stirling and Bridge of Allan Round Table on its tireless efforts in redistributing money back into the local community each year via this Small Grants Fund; acknowledges that each application is reviewed by the Round Table committee, debated and voted on, in line with its responsibility to ensure that the grants are allocated fairly and in line with the goals and aims of the Round Table; conveys its sincere thanks to all the local communities for their generosity, and wishes the very best of luck to all the applicants to this year’s substantial tranche of funding.
