University of Stirling Men's Football Team Reach Fourth Round of the Scottish Cup

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the University of Stirling Men's Football Team on reaching the fourth round of the Scottish Football Association Challenge Cup, commonly known as the Scottish Cup; believes that the University of Stirling Men's Football Team is the first men's university football team to reach the last 32 of the Scottish Cup in more than 50 years; notes that the fourth round match was against Scottish Premiership team, Dundee United FC, and understands that more than 1,000 supporters, including students, staff, alumni and members of the local Stirling community, travelled to Tannadice in Dundee; considers that, while the University of Stirling lost 3-0 on the day, the team is still performing well in the Scottish Lowland Football League, and wishes future success to the team, coaches, staff and all those involved in the ongoing success of the University of Stirling Men's Football Team.
