Pinwherry and Pinmore Community Development Trust Awarded Regeneration Capital Grand Funding

The motion

That the Parliament acknowledges the awarding of £197,633 in Scottish Government project funding to the Pinwherry and Pinmore Community Development Trust (PPCDT); notes that the funding from the Regeneration Capital Grant Fund aims to support community projects in disadvantaged and rural communities; further notes that the fund is delivered in partnership with COSLA and local authorities; understands that the funding will be used for the redevelopment of the local primary school; further understands that the PPCDT took ownership of the former Pinwherry Primary in April 2021, following a successful community asset transfer application; believes that the plan to redevelop the building will provide the community with a new hub where programmes and new initiatives can be run, and wishes the Trust and all involved every success with this project.
