Local Kirkcaldy Groups Benefit from ASDA Foundation Grants

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the various Kirkcaldy-based groups set to benefit from funding received from ASDA Foundation Grants; understands that the Asda Foundation’s Empowering Local Communities grant is open to groups helping communities to address the rising cost of living, as well as groups supporting refugees arriving in the UK; notes that, through this grant, LinkLiving Limited were awarded £500; understands that the Asda Foundation’s U18 Better Starts grant focuses on supporting local groups deliver initiatives that improve the lives of children and young people, particularly those providing support during the school holidays; notes that, through this grant, the 5th Fife Scout Group was awarded £740 and the Viewforth High School Parent Council was awarded £744; acknowledges that these grants were possible because of the support provided by ASDA Kirkcaldy’s Community Champion, Jean Ritchie, and wishes all groups the best and commends the ASDA Foundation for the good work it is carrying out in Scotland’s communities.
