Congratulations to Stirling County RFC Women’s Team on Winning the Tennent’s Women’s Premiership Final
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Stirling County RFC women’s team after winning 27-8 against Corstorphine at Bridgehaugh in the Tennent’s Women’s Premiership Final recently; understands that the County women won the coveted trophy after a campaign that saw them finish the regular season at the top of the division, nine points clear of second-placed Corstorphine; notes that they then faced Heriot’s Blues in the semi-final, which they won 28-5 to set up the final; recognises the importance of the win to the club and the contribution of everyone involved who played a key part in achieving such success in the final; acknowledges the hard work of younger players from the youth section, and extends its very best wishes to the team for continued success in the future.
