Congratulating Fergal Mackie of Metacarpal on Winning a Young Innovators Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Fergal Mackie, Co-founder and CEO of Metacarpal, on winning a Young Innovators Award from Innovate UK; understands that the annual competition celebrates young entrepreneurs with ground-breaking business ideas, and that it is open to innovators from any background and any UK nation or region, with the aim of encouraging greater diversity in innovation and building a more inclusive system for the future; appreciates that Metacarpal began as the co-founder's master's project at university, and is now an incorporated company that develops innovative prosthetic hands, and wishes Fergal and the whole of Metacarpal every success in the future.
